Singapore is hosting the inaugural Youth Olympic Games from the 14-26 August 2010, the first new Games the Olympic Movement has created in 80 years. The Youth Olympic Games celebrate the youth of the world. It is not just about sport and victories. It is also about interacting and connecting, sharing and learning about sport, cultural and global issues. The Youth Olympic Games is about expressing the Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship and Respect in everyday life.
